Quietly excellent cocktails in comfortable surrounds.
The beachy, boho fit out at Wild in the Street suggests you’re enticingly close to the beach, but you’ll quickly forget you’re not quietly watching waves roll in as you sink into bold, colourful cocktails working in unison with small plates basted in smoke. Take a Fix Me Up, melding coffee infused amaro and cold brew for a drink that would happily come to the table at brekkie but is at home alongside rustic duck-liver pâté and crusty flatbread. Fruit and herbs bring fresh tastes to the list too, like a sharp, citrusy Rosemary Rickey, or the Pickled Tammy, in which mango, tequila and lime are elevated by pickled guindilla chillies. The tone mightn’t be wild, but the level of talent here sure is.
