You could easily hand David “Xander” Stucken this award based on his glittery CV alone. Or his consistently outstanding, layered, complex cocktails. Or the depth of his personal whisky collection, much of which is proudly on display at Terrarium, his Perth CBD bar. Behind all the accolades, knowledge and talent, however, there’s a humility that makes him even more worthy, a genuine sense of interest, curiosity and care that’s kept him at the forefront of WA’s ever-evolving bar scene for more than a decade. A leader, a mentor, a force for good – and a very warranted winner, indeed.
